Woodland Paths Antz

Antz

The Antz carving by Iain Chalmers is a popular feature with the young people of the village who enjoy scrambling over them. This Carving was funded by Highland Council

Woodland Ants are an important part of the woodland ecosystem and we need to try and protect the rare species in these ancient and special woodlands.  The woods around Carr-Bridge are home to some rare species of Wood Ant and the local community are keen tp protect this special habitat that preserves their survival.
